Chinese electronics giant Goertek is looking to expand its manufacturing operations in Bac Ninh province with a 25-hectare extension at its production site in Nam Son-Hap Linh Industrial Park.
During a meeting with Bac Ninh authorities on February 3, the Goertek delegation requested support for work permits for foreign employees and improved road infrastructure connecting to its factory.
Nguyen Anh Tuan, Chief of Bac Ninh’s Party Committee, expressed support for Goertek’s investment and urged government agencies to work closely with the company. He also encouraged Goertek to establish a research & development (R&D) center in Bac Ninh and provide overseas training programs for Vietnamese experts.

The company specializes in telecommunications equipment and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). For 2025, Goertek plans to expand its Vietnamese workforce to 60,000 employees, further solidifying its presence in the country.
Bac Ninh authorities have been working to clear land for industrial development, with 220 out of 306.4 hectares already processed. However, challenges remain in securing clearance for three farming land lots (25 hectares) and one defense land lot (1.2 hectares).
Bac Ninh Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan emphasized that once site clearance is completed, the province aims to approve Goertek’s investment registration in Q1/2025, allowing the company to begin construction by Q2/2025.
