On November 5, 2025, a delegation of 18 European organisations, including 17 industrial clusters and one SME, gathered in Bac Ninh, Vietnam, as part of the ECCP EU–Vietnam Matchmaking Event (4–6 November 2025).
The mission was organised by the European Commission through the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP), in partnership with the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (CCIFV), an international network partner of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN).

This initiative aimed to strengthen collaboration between European and Vietnamese industrial ecosystems through Cluster-to-Cluster (C2C), Cluster-to-Business (C2B), and Business-to-Business (B2B) partnerships.
For this important international program, FIBIC supported the execution and coordination of the event activities in Bac Ninh, working alongside the organisers and local partners to help ensure a structured and smoothly delivered experience for the European delegation.
The participating organisations represented ten European countries, reflecting the diversity and strength of Europe’s industrial cluster community.
Their expertise spanned multiple strategic sectors including:
Through this mission, European cluster leaders and technology organisations sought to explore opportunities for collaboration with Vietnamese partners while gaining first-hand insights into Vietnam’s rapidly evolving industrial landscape.
The visit also aligned with the broader objectives of the EU–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), which continues to create new pathways for trade, innovation, and industrial cooperation between the two economies.
Vietnam remains one of the fastest-growing economies in Asia, with GDP growth projected at around 7 percent in 2025. The country’s strong manufacturing base, expanding digital economy, and young skilled workforce continue to attract attention from global investors and technology organisations.
Against this backdrop, the ECCP EU–Vietnam Matchmaking Event was designed as a practical platform where European cluster representatives could interact directly with Vietnam’s industrial ecosystem and explore collaboration opportunities.
The program combined industrial site visits, technology discussions, and direct dialogue with Vietnamese companies operating at the forefront of manufacturing and automation.
One of the key destinations of the mission was Vietnam–Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) Bac Ninh, widely recognised as one of the most successful integrated industrial parks in Northern Vietnam.

Developed as a joint venture between the Vietnamese and Singaporean governments, VSIP Bac Ninh spans more than 700 hectares and hosts numerous global manufacturers operating in electronics, high-tech production, and advanced industrial sectors.
During the visit, delegates gained insights into how the industrial park is supporting modern manufacturing, automation adoption, and clean-energy initiatives, helping position the park as a benchmark for sustainable industrial development in the region.
The visit also provided an opportunity for discussions around future investment potential and collaboration between European clusters and Vietnamese industrial partners.
The delegation also visited Autotech Machinery JSC, a rapidly growing Vietnamese company specialising in automation systems, industrial machinery, and smart factory solutions.

Founded in 2013 by engineer Huong Pham Thi, Autotech has grown into a technology-driven enterprise employing around 300 engineers and specialists. The company develops advanced manufacturing solutions for industries such as automotive, electronics, food processing, and precision engineering.

For the visiting European organisations, the company represented a strong example of Vietnam’s rising capabilities in high-tech manufacturing and automation, as well as the increasing role of innovation-driven Vietnamese enterprises within global supply chains.
Events involving international delegations and industrial site visits require careful coordination across multiple elements, including program flow, venue readiness, and communication between organisers, host companies, and participants.
For the activities taking place in Bac Ninh, FIBIC supported the execution and operational coordination of the program, helping ensure that the schedule, site visits, and participant experience were carried out smoothly.
Key components of the program coordination included:
Through careful preparation and collaboration among all parties involved, the mission provided a productive environment for dialogue, learning, and partnership exploration.
The ECCP EU–Vietnam Matchmaking Event highlighted the growing importance of international collaboration in driving industrial innovation and sustainable development.
By connecting European clusters with Vietnamese companies, industrial parks, and technology partners, the mission created opportunities for future cooperation in areas such as smart manufacturing, green technology, digital transformation, and advanced industrial systems.
For participants, the program offered more than a series of visits. It provided a valuable opportunity to experience Vietnam’s industrial momentum directly and build relationships that could support long-term collaboration between Europe and Vietnam.
Programs such as the ECCP EU–Vietnam Matchmaking Event demonstrate the increasing importance of well-organised platforms that facilitate dialogue and cooperation across international industrial ecosystems.
Through its involvement in the execution and coordination of the Bac Ninh activities, FIBIC continues to support events that connect global organisations with Vietnam’s growing industrial landscape.
By helping deliver structured, professional, and business-focused programs, FIBIC contributes to creating environments where partnerships, knowledge exchange, and industrial cooperation can develop naturally.
